As many of you know, DefendOurPets.org is now the first petfood consumer group
to be asked to be advisory members of AAFCO's Petfood Committee.

The law recently enacted tasks the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the FDA,
in consultation with AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials)
and other relevant stakeholder groups, including veterinary medical associations,
animal health organizations, and pet food manufacturers, with establishing by regulation new standards for
  1. Pet Food Labeling
  2. Pet Food Production
  3. Pet Food Ingredients
AAFCO is an advisory group and, as such, has no direct regulatory or enforcement powers.

Many of you have requested information on how you can input
your ideas regarding these matters to the AAFCO Petfood Committee.

This form provides that mechanism.

Before submitting your ideas, you may wish to examine
the text of the initial proposals which DefendOurPets.org
submitted to the AAFCO Petfood Committee in August.
