WALMART BOYCOTT ENROLLMENT

The pyramid of greed that led to the deaths of many of our companion animals is framed with money and covered with tears. The public outcry has been accompanied by a deluge of recalls of dangerous products that affect everyone. These products involve both human and pet health and safety. They have one thing in common: GREED!

Follow the trail of greed that leads to danger and death:

1. Retailers, in order to make more profits, demand that their suppliers reduce costs.
2. Suppliers, in order to satisfy the retailers, start taking unwise and illegal shortcuts.
3. Manufacturers use cheaper ingredients and labor.
4. Some Manufacturers take dangerous and illegal steps that kill!

But the chain starts with the retailers!

Our government is either unwilling or unable to protect our interests. Instead of taking immediate steps to halt the importation of these dangerous products from China, they make "deals" with the Chinese government like the recent U.S.-China Agreement on Product Safety where our government representatives sell us out by promising to "help" the poor Chinese make safer products, while the Chinese ministers continue to deny a problem even exists.

What can WE do?

We can and must refuse to buy these products whenever we can. AND

We must boycott the retailers who consistently demonstrate their lack of concern for their customer's welfare by continuing to sell these products.

The most conspicuous name among these retailers, and the most persistent offender with recalled products is:

WalMart

1. They remove all products "Made in China" from their shelves, and remove all food products with Chinese-origin ingredients from their shelves. OR

2. Sufficient third-party inspections are implemented to assure the public that no more contaminated and deadly products are being sold. These inspections must occur not only here in the U.S., but also at the points of production and shipping. The recent "20%" inspections announced are totally inadequate.
